34 weeks!! WE have a DATE!!

This week has been a pretty good week! Nothing too crazy going on. Doctor appointments were on Thursday.  I had my EEG test done on my brain. It was super boring and I had like 20 nasty glue dots in my hair when I got done. They stuck a bunch of wires to my head and then I had to sit there with my eyes closed for 15 mins. I won't find out anything until the 14th but I'm sure all is fine! Then I had baby's doctor appointment, and we have a date!!!!! FEBRUARY 22nd!! Less than a month away!! CRAZY!! Everything with the baby is good! Her heartbeat sounds good, she is measuring good size, and doc says her head is down! I am scheduled to go back in 2 weeks, then the next week I will find out my test results, and then the next week, WE'LL HAVE A BABY!!! I am getting more and more nervous everyday it gets closer! I'm SO EXCITED to meet her but I'm TERRIFIED to be a mommy! I'm glad I have Nick to keep me calm! He is BEYOND excited to be a daddy! 

How far along? 34 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 2 more lbs... getting huge!
Sleep: Great!!! I have been taking sleeping pills! ;)
Best moment this week: Finding out when baby will be here!
Miss anything? My ribs not hurting
Food cravings: Anything really

32 weeks, 33 weeks and Baby Shower!!

32 weeks... This week was SUPER ROUGH! Hence I'm late on the blog post! I had 5 migraines in 4 days! It was HORRIBLE! I went to the doctor to make sure everything was ok with the baby, and it is! They were worried that my blood pressure was high but it turned out to be great. He was, however, concerned with the amount of migraines I had in a row so he wanted me to go to a neurologist. (More about that later on..) It was super scary because I've never had that happen to me before, I am just happy that everything is ok with the baby!

Total weight gain/loss: Probably gained a couple more lbs....
Sleep: Not good... woke up with migraines 5 too many times :(
Best moment this week: Every second that I didn't have a migraine 
Miss anything? My Mom... you always want your mommy when your sick

Movement:  Lots! she is becoming a kicker!

33 weeks!!! This week was MUCH better than last week! I got the BEST surprise EVER! I had my baby shower on Tuesday and my mom and grandma showed up and I had NO IDEA they were coming!!! It was the BEST surprise! They got my reaction on video and it is HILARIOUS!  I can't get it on here but it is on Facebook. I make the ugliest face and then I look like a big fat heffer running! Its just great! HA!  The shower was PERFECT! Kim, Margret and Allyson did SO much to make it great! Nick and I are SO grateful for everyone that came and spoiled us! We got lots of super cute stuff and lots of diapers!!!! Thank you, Thank you everyone!! Here are some pictures of all the cute things they did....

My mom and grandma came on Tuesady and Stayed until today, Saturday! I had to work on Wednesday so they came out to the salon to visit and see good ole' Quartzsite! Then after work we played cards all night long and had a super fun time!!! Thursday was my Neurology appointment in Yuma. So we headed out early and took the exciting drive to Yuma. My appointment went well. The doctor just said that it is common to get migraines like that toward the end of pregnancy and didn't seem too concerned with anything. I do have to have an EEG test done to test the brain waves to see if I am prone to seizures or anything.. I'm pretty sure I'm not and all of these have just been because of hormones but its better to be safe than sorry. After my appointment we went to lunch and did a little shopping and then took the exciting drive home! Then we played cards again!!! It was a good day!
On Friday we didn't have plans so we decided to go to Lake Havasu!  We stopped in Parker on the way and went to the Casino. We all put in a couple dollars in the slots.. I lost mine, mom lost hers and grandma won $2.85!!! Big winner! haha! We went to Red Robin for lunch, which was FABULOUS, and then we went and saw the London Bridge. My mom and grandma LOVED havasu... its really pretty there! Then we did some shopping and came home and, you guessed it, played cards again!! I LOVE playing cards so it was so nice having them here to play with!!! Nick was a good sport and played with us with very little complaining!!!
I had SO MUCH fun having them here and I'm SO GRATEFUL they could come!! I can't wait until we can move closer to home and be able to spend more time with them again! I will see my mom again though in 6 weeks, when baby comes!!! :)



How far along? 33 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Gained 3 more lbs.. :/ kinda freakin me out, I hope its all baby weight and water!
Sleep: Much better... I have been taking sleeping pills though, just so I don't wake up with anxiety.
Best moment this week: Having my mom and grandma here!
Miss anything?  My family... Not my mom cuz I got to spend the week with her!! But I miss everyone else
Food cravings: Red Robin.. and I got to go!!!

31 Weeks... And BABY HAS A NAME!!!!

     This week hasn't been too eventful! It was New Years and we didn't do a darn thing! We went to dinner to a little hole in the wall, Chinese place, that was interesting to say the least. Some stupid drunk guys came in and sat RIGHT behind us and were dropping the f-bomb like crazy and made it very unpleasant. There was another family there and the dad went over and asked them to watch their language because his 6 year old daughter was there and then they almost got in a fight. Luckily we were about done and didn't have to stay for much longer. I was kinda scurred! haha! After that, we just went home. I fell asleep at 8:30 and Nick stayed up and played video games and then at 11:50 I just happened to wake up and Nick had fallen asleep on the floor, watching tv.  So we turned on the New York ball drop and had a whole 10 mins of excitement and then we went to bed! HA! We are super lame!! New Years Day we sat around the house and didn't do anything either! It was super boring! haha! O well! Next year will be more exciting I'm sure!! I am starting to get REALLY BUSY at the salon! All the snow birds are finally coming down.  The big RV show is in 2 weeks and I just know I'm going to be SLAMMED! Its good for the money but I have to take it easy because I get home and I can't do a blasted thing because I'm SO tired from being on my feet all day! My boss is really good to me and always makes sure that I'm ok and not over doing it! :)  I'm working until the 13th of Feb. so that's only 6 more weeks! I can do it!!! Nick is glad the busy season is over! He worked some pretty late hours during Christmas and is glad it is finally over! He starts school up again on the 14th! He is going to be taking History this semester! (Because he is on a grant, he can only take one class, weird, I know) Hopefully it goes better than his Math class!
     I went to the doctor on Wednesday, hoping for a date but the doc said 3 more weeks. Baby's heartbeat sounded great and he didn't really have anything else to say!  Nick and I decided that since we get to pick the day we have her, we are going with the 28th! So when I go back in 3 weeks, we're going to shoot for the 28th and hope that the doctor will say ok!
     We have been having a hard time coming up with a name but.....BABY HAS A NAME!!  
PHYSC... We are keeping it a secret until she is born!! :)  Everyone will just have to wait and see!!! :) I'm just glad that I could finally decide!!!!

How far along? 31 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I gained SIX POUNDS!! HOLY MERCY! I'm still only 3 lbs over my pre-weight but holy moly, 6 lbs is A LOT!
Sleep: Not so great this week. My heart burn is keeping me up :(
Best moment this week: Got to hear baby's heart beat!
Miss anything? Good Restaurants.. Taco Time, Training Table, Red Robin, Robintinos...
Food cravings: Sweets this week!! I don't usually crave cookies or chocolate but this week I have!

Movement:  Lots! And she has had the hic-ups A LOT!
Body Aches: Everything hurts now :( I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable and the heart burn is AWFUL!

30 Weeks!

 

SINGLE DIGITS!!!! 30 weeks!!! (doctor is taking me at 39 weeks) Oh my goodness its getting SO close! And yet its still kinda far away! I REALLY hope that she doesnt want to come early! I was born 5 weeks early and to think that if she came that early, she would be here in a month!!! CRAZY!! Please baby, stay in until the doctor is ready to take you out!! :)

This week was Christmas!! We had such a good Christmas and feel SO BLESSED to have all that we do! This year was MUCH easier than last year! We are living in a much better place and we have gotten a little more 'used' to living here. (I hate to say we're settled here cuz I am counting down the days for when Nick and I can transfer somewhere closer to home! 139 days!!!!) Nick and I decided to get a few things that we really wanted, because it is probably going to be the last time we will be able to buy things just for us!! Next year, and the years to come, it will be ALL about baby! Nick really wanted video games and they are so expensive so I decided to get him a year subscription to GameFly. (its like netflix but with video games) So now he can get any game he wants!! (I'm already regretting it, he's been playing the one I got him NON STOP!)  Nick got me some pots and pans and a necklace. Its a locket that is see-through and it has charms in it! It has a diamond for nicks birth-stone, a pearl for my bith stone, and a little pink blow dryer!! When baby comes we will get her birth stone to put in it too!! It has lots of room for quite a few other charms so I can get more later on! I LOVE it!! We also got spoiled by our parents and grandparents! They sent us money, so we got a new laptop!! Our computer was on the fritz and driving us CRAZY so we decided to get rid of it and get a new one!!  We got super cute 'power outage' gifts from Nicks parents!! Everything we need if the power ever goes out! Nick's sister, Kerri sent us a cute little onesie for the baby and a calander from Australia! Morgan got me a super cute swaddle blanket and my favorite lotion from B&BW!! Auntie Ky sent us lots of presents! She got nick an autographed picture of Derek Favors from the Jazz! We got Utah and BYU mugs, and she got baby U of U onesies, Utah Jazz bibs, and some books! And of course she got Roxy some treats and some toys! We had such a great Christmas, and we are so grateful for all our friends and family that made it great for us!

28 Weeks!!

I can't believe I'm 28 weeks!! The time is flying by!! 11 weeks is NOT long! We still need a few things for the baby (sheets/bedding, more diapers, and a swing)  but for the most part we are ready! CRAZY!!! Nick says he wants her to hurry up and just get here but I am definitely glad we still have time! I CAN'T decide on a name!

This time of year is always so fun! However, it's Nick's busy time for work which means he works more hours! Good for the money but not good when I want him home! I guess I am grateful he has a job! I have been doing fairly well at the salon, but it's still on the slow side. They have a BIG tent that goes up (its like a glorified RV show or somethin) in Quartzsite around the 19th of Jan. and they say it gets INSANE over there and we'll be busy! Lets hope that I am still feeling well around then to be able to work!  I told my boss my last day is going to be the 13th of Feb. That will hopefully give me a week, maybe two,  to get everything ready! Because I am having a C-section, I'm hoping he'll let us choose the date we get to have her! We're hoping we can set it for a thursday because Nick only has 5 days of paid leave :(  So right now, if we can get it on a Thursday, the plan is to have Nick take Thursday, Friday off,  come home from the hospital Saturday or Sunday. Then my mom, my dad, and my sister, are going to come down and Nick will go back to work on Monday.  (We are wanting to save the other 3 days Nick has to go to Utah, after the baby is born, as soon as I get the ok to travel!) 
My dad and my sister are planning to stay a couple days and then go back home and My mom will stay with me for a week! I figure, if my mom is there, Nick might as well be at work!  Hopefully all will go as planned... if not... OH WELL!!

 

 

How far along? 28 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I lost 1 lb! I've been eating like a crazy prego person too!
Sleep: Good. :)
Best moment this week: Feeling baby move, everyday, just to know that she is ok!
Miss anything? still family.. holidays are hard without them
Food cravings: Turkey sandwhich on Wheat bread with JUST mayo, salt and potato chips.... Weird I know but I've eaten like 5 or 6!! Its super weird because I used to HATE mayo! ha!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Belly button in or out? still in but its starting to come out
Movement: Yes!!
Body Aches: my belly has been SUPER sore this week.  I definitely have the prego waddle goin on cuz it feels better to walk like that!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy for the most part! I have been a little on the irritated side though.....

26 weeks!!!

This week we had a doctors appointment and we got to see baby!!! I had to take the glucose test and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  it just tasted like flat orange soda and would have been fine but u have to drink SO much. but I made it through! 

During the ultrasound, we got to see a 3D picture of the baby!! It was SO AWESOME! She couldn't get a super clear picture because baby was laying right up against the placenta but what we did see was so cute! she kept smiling and I thought she looked just like Riley!!!!  Then my mom sent me a picture of me when I was a baby, and I think she looks like me too! She is definitely going to have the Able genes :) The doctor said she is going to be petite, just like I was, cuz she is measuring small but nothing alarming!! She was also having a hard time getting pictures of her feet cuz baby was holding onto them with her hands!! so cute!!

We had so much fun seeing the baby and spending the day together out of town!!! we are so grateful for the technology that we have today, so we know everything is good with baby!!

23, 24 and 25 weeks!!!

So I got a little behind and my Mom is texting me telling me I need to update this thing! Sorry Mom! Week 23 I was in Utah!!! I had so much fun at my baby showers! Friday, the 9th, Michelle, her mom and her sisters threw me a shower for all of my close friends! We had YUMMY soup and salad and they made me a really cute diaper cake!!! Thanks SO MUCH to my second family! I LOVED IT! Saturday, the 10th, My mom, Nick's mom and my sister threw me a shower for my family and family friends! I was astounded by the amount of people that came to support Nick and I and our little family!! We feel SO lucky to have SO MANY great family friends and great support from our families! We had a lot of family drive a long way to come and I am SO grateful for everyone that came!! Thanks Mom, Kathy, Morgan, Riley and Kim for putting everything together for me!! It was so nice to see all of my friends and family and baby got lots of goodies!!  It was a quick trip, but I'm so grateful that I got to go and I'm SO GRATEFUL for Kim driving with me! On the way down we spent the night at one of her friends house in Cedar City and then we stayed at my parents for two nights and drove all the way home on Sunday.  I am SO GRATEFUL to her for going with me because without her (and her suburban) I wouldn't have gotten all of baby girl's stuff home! THANKS KIM!!!

 

How far along? 24 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Gained 2 lbs I think
Maternity clothes? My pants are beginning to not fit so great anymore...
Stretch marks? Same ones as before.. I haven't gotten any new ones thank goodness
Sleep: Not so good.  I've been having a lot of anxiety :(
Best moment this week: Nick felt the baby kick!!!!
Miss anything? my family
Food cravings: Everything just sounds amazing... I feel like all I want to do is eat!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Belly button in or out? In.. starting to look funny! haha
Movement: Yes!! So fun!
Body Aches: My tummy has felt like it has stretched SO FAR. I have had some not so great pains in the belly. But its ok because that can only mean baby is growing!

25 weeks! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Can't believe its already here! This was my first Thanksgiving away from home and family.  It was really hard but I only shed a few tears.  We are so lucky to have the friends here in Blythe that we do! We went over to Kim and Jon's and had a SUPER yummy, HUGE, meal!! I was in charge of the green bean casserole and I helped with the rolls and biscuits.... kinda. Kim is trying to teach me to make bread.. Its kinda hard! Some other friends came over and we had a really good time!! I'm SO glad we have them because without them I would have been really miserable.  K-Mart was having their black friday sale Thanksgiving night, which I think is RIDICULOUS, but for the first time I went to a black friday sale! I only spent $20 but holy moly.... People are CRAZY! Kim had her list of things she wanted and it was fun to go along for the ride!! 

How far along? 25 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I think I gained 2 lbs in food after Thanksgiving
Maternity clothes? Some of my stretchy pants still fit but I think I'm going to have to go to all maternity pants pretty soon :/
Stretch marks? Same ones as before.. I haven't gotten any new ones thank goodness
